Riccardo Buck completed his 3-year degree in painting at Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan in 2011 while studying music composition with Filippo Perocco in Treviso, Italy. His thesis investigated the correspondences between music and painting in the 20th century, experimenting with the possibility of a translation between them. After graduating he decided to focus his practice on time-based forms of expression. He combined his passion for music and composition with his fascination for cinema and created new sound environments for several films, mostly from the silent era, with Cineforum Labirinto, Treviso. In November 2012 he moved to Berlin searching for new artistic incentives. He received his MA in Visual and Media Anthropology from the Freie Universität in 2015. He currently lives and works in Berlin.
